AUSTIN, TX – Today, the Texas Retailers Association (TRA) recognized Rep. John Raney (Bryan/College Station) with the State Legislative Champion award at their 2019 Texas Retailer Forum held at the Omni Barton Creek Hotel, for his continued efforts and support of the Texas retail industry during the 86th Texas Legislature.

“It is a great honor to be named State Legislative Champion by the Texas Retailers Association. TRA’s effective representation of businesses, both large and small, makes a valuable contribution to the Texas economy and is essential to the success of their members. They are a fantastic organization and I am proud to work with them as a small business owner and as a legislator,” said Rep. Raney.

TRA represents companies and retail professionals who are a part of one of the world’s largest economies and provides them a voice in Austin on various issues. Collectively, TRA advocates on behalf of more than 320,000 retail establishments and more than 2.5 million jobs across the state.
