Texas A&M University Chancellor John Sharp honored the Brazos Valley legislators with awards for our work during the 83rd legislative session. Senator Charles Schwertner, Representative Kyle Kacal and I were each presented with a beautiful glass plaque in gratitude of our support of higher education and Texas A&M University. The presentation took place during the Texas Tribune TribLive event held at Texas A&M University on March 27, 2014. I am humbled to receive this award for my work on behalf of Texas A&M.
