Speaker Appoints Raney to Prominent Committees

Austin, TX – Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives, Joe Straus (R-San Antonio), has released the full list of House Committee appointments for the 84th Legislative Session.

State Representative John Raney (R-Bryan/College Station) was pleased to once again be placed on the House Committees on Appropriations, Higher Education, and House Administration. This will be the second session Representative Raney is serving on these committees, and he is looking forward to using his previous experience to represent the constituents of District14 once more.

Representative Raney was sworn-in on December 23, 2011. He is a proud sixth-generation Texan and is long-time community member of the Bryan-College Station area, as well as a small business owner for forty-six years.
